TrailPeople

TrailPeople is leading the preparation of this community-based plan for a comprehensive system of regional and local trails for this suburban city of 82,000 people. The plan is based on extensive participation from citizens and stakeholders. The goal is to inventory, improve and complete the trail system within the City and connections to adjacent areas. The City's current 82 mile trail system is planned to grow to 152 miles.

TrailPeople developed standards for new trail types and associated amenities (supported by Fehr & Peers on street crossings and other traffic engineering considerations); detailed a city-wide series of trail projects and helped prioritize them based on agreed-upon criteria; prepared GIS maps and databases of existing and planned trails; and prepared estimates and guidelines for implementation, including operation and management requirements and costs.
