Napa Valley Vine

Trail Extension Study

Trail Connection Study

Location:

Napa County, CA

Client:

Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition

TrailPeople studied the opportunities, constraints, pros and cons of potential extension routes for the Napa Valley Vine Trail south of Highway 29: across property owned by the Napa Sanitation District and other public and private land along Soscol Creek and Sheehy Creek, plus a series of alternative connections from these routes to and along public roads to the primary planned alignment.

The work included research of property owners and plans, field assessment of conditions, and detailed GIS mapping and analysis to compare lengths and pertinent characteristics. The study allowed the Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition to decide the best route alternatives and will allow the Coalition to work with property owners and partners to pursue them as appropriate.
