TrailPeople

TrailPeople is leading the planning and design of a new segment of the Annie & Mary Trail in Arcata. Working alongside SHN Engineers and the Redwood Community Action Agency, the project will identify options for improved safety and connectivity for walking and biking between Valley West, Humboldt State University, and Downtown Arcata.

Funded by the Caltrans Sustainable Communities Program, this City of Arcata project will also complete another segment of the regional Annie & Mary Trail that will ultimately connect east to the City  of Blue Lake. For this project, TrailPeople is supporting a robust community engagement program. The trail design will feature use of best practices in context-sensitive “complete streets” design for small town streetscapes, and at the completion of the project, the City will have design plans ready for final engineering.
